If your pool is looking dull and lifeless, an acid wash may be the service needed to revive it. The acid wash is one of our most requested services. An acid wash is the process of removing mineral deposits and dirt stains from the bottom and sides of your pool. In the process, a thin layer of the pool or spa interior's surface is also removed. By doing so, it strips a thin layer of plaster, exposing fresh plaster beneath. We do not advise having this service done annually but it is something various pools require from time to time.

Before we identify that your pool is in need of an acid wash we have to come and inspect it. Many times, other maintenance processes can be used instead of an acid wash. If your pool is in need of one, we are happy to preform the service and answer any questions you may have regarding the process!

As time passes, you pool water can age, thus creating toxins, algae, and other harmful substances. The process of acid-washing your pool removes unsightly stains due to hard water and algae buildup. Once your water begins to look murky and unusually green or black, it's likely that your pool needs an acid-wash to clean it up. Over time, stains accumulate and can be hard to remove while the pool is full. In most cases it’s best to drain the pool and start fresh. We start this process by draining all the water, beginning the acid wash process, and power washing the plaster and tile. By doing so, this removes the stains from your pool and creates an overall fresher and cleaner appearance. In some instances, a quick vacuum and filter change can be the way to go. But if your pool is filled with debris and unwanted matter, it is recommended to get this process done. We also offer monthly pool upkeep to maintain your bright new swimming water. After the drain and acid wash is complete, we start the process of filling your pool back up. This may take up to 24 hours depending on the size of your pool.
